Venice

“Venice rose as if by the enchantment of a magician’s wand, from its canals as by the touch of a goddess’s fingers.” – Lord Byron

Venice is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world and welcomes millions of visitors every year. Its calli, resting upon the more than 100 islands that form the historic centre, are connected by over 400 bridges. The main routes of communication are the canals, where everything we are used to seeing on land seems to float.

Every logic we are accustomed to is overturned in a magic unlike any other. Its beauty can be enjoyed by boat, using a public vaporetto, or on foot, allowing time to pause for photos (there will be many, we guarantee it), to visit one of its many characteristic shops, or simply to stand in awe before its countless architectural wonders.

Whatever way you choose to explore it, Venice will surely leave an unforgettable memory. Its wonders are too many to list in full, but we can mention just a few of the most unmissable: St. Mark’s Basilica, with its famous square and great bell tower (rebuilt in the early 1900s after its collapse), the adjoining Doge’s Palace, the nearby Bridge of Sighs (so called because it was the last view granted to prisoners on their way to the Venetian prisons), Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, Rialto Bridge, and Gallerie dell’Accademia, all of which promise magical moments and rare emotions.

Venice is also rich in major events not to be missed, such as the Venice Biennale, the Venice Film Festival, Venice Carnival, the Historical Regatta of Venice, and much more, which is why at any time of year it will enchant you in its ever-changing attire.

Padua

The city of a thousand faces

Visiting Padua is like taking a long journey through History: every corner of the city tells something fascinating and unique.

Each of its faces reveals a different side of its historic character: from spirituality, with the Scrovegni Chapel, Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua, and the Cathedral, to its more scholarly side, with the ancient university seat of Palazzo del Bo and the avenues of the Orto Botanico di Padova, all the way to its contemporary spirit, full of energy and vitality, found in the markets of Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta, as well as its many cafés, including the famous Caffè Pedrocchi.

Villa Pisani

The jewel of the Brenta

Villa Pisani is the Venetian villa par excellence. Located in the town of Stra, just 30 km from Villa Barbarich, the “Nazionale” houses a National Museum of 18th- and 19th-century art and furnishings. With its 168 rooms spread across 15,000 square metres, Villa Pisani is a true architectural jewel.

The Villa stands along the Riviera del Brenta, where, from the 16th century onwards, noble Venetian families established some of the most prestigious private residences ever built. During the warmer season, it was customary to host lavish celebrations there. Today, the Riviera is home to some of the most important producers of high-end bespoke footwear, exported all over the world.
